Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze regional economic difference in japan.
(1) Regional income difference had enlarged for the 1980's. As the result of the analysis, the key factor of the difference was the labor productivity.
(2) The regional difference of the labor productivity of each industry had enlarged more rapidly than that of the industrial composition had reduced. Manufacturing, wholesale & retailtrade and financing & insurance had contributed to the enlargement of the difference of the total labor productivity.
(3) The labor productivity of the above-mentioned 3 industries had correlated to the proportion of emplyed persons who are professional workers, technical workers, managers, officials, and clerical workwers.
