Abstract

The objective of the research is to understand the behavior of entrained-flow gasification of organic waste. In this study, three different type of raw material was used, which were wood, mixture of wood and PET, and mixture of wood and mixed-plastic and gasification was carried out in the down flow furnace. The operating conditions such as O/C=1.7, mass flow of sample=15kg/h were kept constant in the experiment. When the mixture of wood and mixed-plastic was used as the gasification fuel, carbon to gas conversion and cold gas efficiency were the highest. At that time highest temperature in the gasifier was measured over 1473K, carbon to gas conversion was over 80%, and cold gas efficiency was over 40%.
